NW Yacht Brokers Association presents $25,000 gift to Lake Union Park Campaign
SEATTLE, Nov. 9, 2007 – The Northwest Yacht Brokers Association, a regional trade group of over 340 recreational boat brokers and dealers, presented a $25,000 gift to the Lake Union Park Capital Campaign during a ceremony Thursday morning on the site of the future park on South Lake Union in Seattle.

Sail Sand Point receives NW Yacht Brokers Jeffrey D. Briggs Award and grant
SEATTLE, Nov. 2, 2007 – Sail Sand Point (www.SailSandPoint.org), a non-profit community sailing organization in Seattle's Magnuson Park, has been named for the third consecutive year as the recipient of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association Jeffrey D. Briggs Award.

31st Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival Sets Sail over July 4 Weekend
SEATTLE, May 31, 2007 – Seattle’s love-affair with everything nautical renews over the July 4 weekend with the 31st annual Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival on South Lake Union.

NW yacht brokers name Bonnie Bergquist association manager
SEATTLE, May 24, 2007 -- The Northwest Yacht Brokers Association, a regional trade group of over 340 recreational boat brokers and dealers with headquarters in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, has promoted Bonnie Bergquist to the position of association manager.

30th Anniversary Lake Union Boats Afloat Show Set for Sept. 12–16
SEATTLE, May 1, 2007 -- The Northwest Yacht Brokers Association, a regional trade group of over 340 recreational boat brokers and dealers with headquarters in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood, announced Tuesday that its 30th anniversary Boats Afloat Show will again take place Sept. 12–16 on South Lake Union in Seattle.

Boating Bills Passed in Olympia
May 4, 2007 -- The Northwest Yacht Brokers Association lobbyist Chuck Foster has been working hard down in Olympia to represent the needs of the industry and to help promote business.  Some bills that were recently signed into legislation were SHB 1002 (Sale and use tax exemption on out of State vessels) and ESSB 5112 (Auctioning of Vessels).
