NYBA Objectives

Promote Boating
Northwest Yacht Brokers Association actively promotes boating to the general public, via a diversity of activities that include, but are not limited to, putting on boat shows, clinics and seminars. We strive to encourage a greater interest in the welfare and safety of the boating public, through such endeavors as public education, lobbying efforts and cooperation with other organizations.

Code of Ethics
Subscribing to the strictest code of ethics, NYBA members are committed to bringing integrity and professionalism to the buying and selling process of new and previously owned pleasure craft. Our goal is to unite those engaged in the business of yacht sales for the purpose of promoting cooperation among its members. We are very proud of our Code of Ethics and require that all members abide by them.

Standard Contracts and Forms
To provide a standardization of the most comprehensive set of contracts being used in the yacht brokerage industry today. Access to these are for current members.

Promote Strong Relationships with Peer Organizations
We work closely with organizations such as NMTA, CPYB, FYBA, NAMS, YBAA, and now the National Safe Boating Council. These are highly respected peer organizations and nurturing a harmonious relationship allows NYBA members to cooperate listings with greater ease.
